Job summary

Job description

Waverley Borough Council is seeking an experienced Property Services Manager to lead our Property Services Team on a fixed-term basis for one year. Reporting to the Interim Head of Housing, you will take the lead in delivering high-quality housing operations across our 5,000 homes, including responsive repairs, cyclical maintenance, planned works, and voids management. You will also provide strategic oversight and leadership of our Damp and Mould team, ensuring properties are managed proactively and in line with regulatory standards and best practice.

With budget responsibility of £7m+ and oversight of 10+ contracts, this is a pivotal role managing key relationships with contractors, tenants, and stakeholders while driving service improvement and value for money.

We are looking for someone with proven senior level experience in property management, a strong track record in leading and motivating teams, and solid expertise in budget management and contract procurement.

The successful candidate will bring a clear understanding of health and safety legislation, the Social Housing Regulatory regime, and compliance requirements, along with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
