Job summary

PizzaExpress is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Property to lead capital investment projects across our restaurant portfolio. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while upholding high standards.

The role involves managing refurbishment and new restaurant projects from concept to completion, coordinating contractors and internal teams, and reporting to senior stakeholders. Travel across the UK and Ireland is required.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering property or construction projects.
• Experience in hospitality, leisure, retail or multi-site environments.
• Strong budget management and commercial awareness.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing capability.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Flexible travel across the UK and Ireland as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of refurbishment, transformation and new restaurant projects from concept through to completion.
• Manage CAPEX projects, ensuring cost, quality, programme and safety targets are achieved.
• Prepare project proposals, budgets and programmes for approval.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality and safety compliance.
• Manage contractors, consultants and third-party partners to deliver results.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Estates, Acquisitions, Design and Marketing.
• Drive weekly project reviews to ensure milestones, budgets and timelines stay on track.
• Identify opportunities to improve value and reduce costs without compromising design standards.
• Minimise operational disruption and ensure projects are handed back to restaurant teams.
• Provide regular project reporting and updates to senior stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading the delivery of refurbishment, transformation and new restaurant projects from concept through to completion.

• Conducting site visits to monitor progress, quality and compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Managing contractors, consultants and third-party partners to deliver exceptional results.
• Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Estates, Acquisitions, Design and Marketing.
• Driving weekly project reviews to ensure milestones, budgets and timelines remain on track.
• Identifying opportunities to improve value and reduce costs without compromising design standards.
• Minimising operational disruption and ensuring projects are handed back seamlessly to restaurant teams.
• Providing regular project reporting and updates to senior stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

You're an experienced project manager with a passion for delivering high-quality property projects in fast-paced, customer-focused environments.

• A proven track record of successfully delivering property or construction projects.
• Experience within hospitality, leisure, retail or other multi-site environments.
• Strong commercial awareness and budget management skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing capability.
• The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise effectively.
• Strong organisational skills and a solution-focused mindset.
• A collaborative approach and the confidence to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Flexibility to travel throughout the UK and Ireland as required.
