Job summary

Addleshaw Goddard is seeking a proactive paralegal to focus on property post-completion matters in Manchester. The role emphasises SDLT and LTT returns, Land Registry applications and developing expertise in commercial property.

You will manage files in our internal case management system, provide regular updates to clients, and contribute to team training while keeping up with Land Tax developments. We value attention to detail, strong communication and the willingness to learn; 6 months

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months' Conveyancing experience is essential.
• A high level of attention to detail and ability to follow team processes and procedures.
• Effective personal, organisational and time management skills, the ability to closely monitor matter progress and manage competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating an ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels and proactively provide updates on matter progress.
• A positive, enthusiastic and proactive approach to work.
• Self-motivation and a willingness to get involved in new developments.
• A strong work ethic and a desire to develop and succeed.

Responsibilities

• Submission of SDLT and LTT returns.
• Updating internal case management system and providing regular updates to internal clients on matter progress.
• Compliance with internal QA processes including checking Land Registry applications, SDLT and LTT returns for quality and content.
• Contributing to development of the wider Real Estate paralegal team, including training delivery.
• Attending relevant training and keeping up to date with developments relating to HMLR & Land Tax matters.
