Job summary

Peacocks is seeking a Project Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance of our store portfolio and support the delivery of property projects.

You will travel to multiple store locations, coordinate with internal teams and external contractors, review budgets, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

The role requires strong organisational skills, the ability to work independently, and a hands-on approach to problem solving across diverse sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial property maintenance roles.
• Knowledge of building systems and maintenance.
• Understanding of Health and Safety and environmental laws.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage day-to-day maintenance for company properties.
• Review invoices and quotes, ensuring budget compliance.
• Travel to priority sites, conduct surveys and generate reports.
• Identify defects and develop technical specifications from schedules.
• Source and select contractors; conduct tendering as needed.
• Support maintenance requests and coordinate with Help Desk.
• Supervise reactive and planned works to high workmanship standards.
• Collaborate with Environmental Health Officers and Building Inspectors.
• Share on-call responsibilities for escalations.
• Tackle ad hoc duties with flexibility.
