Job summary

The Commercial Hotel is seeking a proactive Property Maintenance Technician to support the smooth operation of our venues across multiple sites in the region. You will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring safety, compliance and high presentation standards for guests and team members.

You will turn your hand to plumbing, joinery, basic electrical work, decorating and general maintenance, with a proactive approach to faults and repairs.

Qualifications

• Experience in general building maintenance.
• Practical skills across plumbing, joinery and basic electrical work.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience using hand and power tools safely.
• Proactive approach and ability to work independently.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across multiple venues.
• Respond promptly to maintenance issues, fault-finding and repairs.
• Maintain buildings, grounds and external areas, including drainage and guttering.
• Ensure all properties remain safe, compliant and well-presented.
• Identify and prevent maintenance issues before they become costly repairs.
• Support minor project works and refurbishment activities as required.
• Source materials and complete tasks to a high standard.
• Accurately record completed works and report maintenance issues.
• Work safely and in line with company health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Collaborate with the wider Property Team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and professionally.

We're looking for a proactive and multi-skilled Property Maintenance Technician to support the smooth operation of our venues. You'll be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, helping maintain high standards across our properties and ensuring an excellent environment for both our guests and team members.

The Role

This is a regional position covering multiple venues, with regular travel between sites.

An on-call rota operates for emergency and business-critical issues only.

Weekend cover is shared fairly across the Property Team.

A company vehicle may be provided for use within the role, subject to operational requirements.
