Job description

PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CO-ORDINATOR

SALARY: £26,628.00 + Bonus (£34,080.00 OTE)

LOCATION: ST IVES, CAMBRIDGESHIRE

Do you have experience working in a busy, customer-focused environment? Are you highly organised, proactive and great at juggling multiple priorities? Do you enjoy solving problems, building positive relationships and making sure things get done properly and on time?

We have the job for you!

At Move With Us, part of Simplify, our Property Maintenance Co-ordinator role (known internally as a Maintenance Account Manager), is all about ensuring that property maintenance works are arranged and managed efficiently, whilst delivering an excellent experience for our clients.

Working as part of our friendly and supportive Property Services division, you'll take responsibility for co-ordinating a varied range of reactive maintenance activities across properties managed by our sales and lettings teams.

One minute you could be arranging for a contractor to attend a property, the next providing a client with an update, reviewing a completed job or finding a solution to an unexpected issue. You'll be the person helping to keep everything moving, ensuring work is completed to the required standards and within agreed timescales.

You'll work closely with clients, contractors and internal colleagues, building strong working relationships and ensuring everyone has the information they need.

This is a busy, varied and target-driven role, so you'll need to be comfortable managing competing priorities, taking ownership of your workload and finding practical solutions when challenges arise.

Full training will be provided, so whilst previous property maintenance experience would be beneficial, we're equally interested in hearing from candidates with strong customer service, communication, and organisational skills with the right attitude!

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving and managing client instructions relating to property maintenance and repossession works.

  • Identifying and arranging suitable contractors to attend properties and complete required works.

  • Building and maintaining positive working relationships with clients, contractors and internal colleagues.

  • Providing regular, clear and accurate updates to clients and other stakeholders throughout the maintenance process.

  • Monitoring outstanding works, ensuring agreed service levels and timescales are met.

  • Resolving queries and problems proactively, managing client expectations and ensuring a positive customer experience.

  • Preparing comprehensive reports, including supporting photographs and relevant updates on completed works.

  • Maintaining accurate records, including financial information and daily system updates.

  • Supporting the development of our contractor network by identifying and introducing new contractors to the Move With Us panel.

  • Identifying opportunities to promote additional Move With Us services and develop existing client relationships.

BENEFITS

A competitive basic salary of £26,628.00 + Bonus (£34,080.00 OTE),25 days holiday (plus 8 days public holiday), increasing with length of service, option to buy or sell holiday, life assurance, enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay, free conveyancing legals, GP 24-hour service, retail discounts, free on-site parking, plus many more!

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team within a leading property services business, where you'll have the chance to develop your skills, gain valuable industry knowledge and make a genuine difference to the service we provide.

We need a few things from you...

To be successful in this role, you'll need to be a confident communicator, an excellent organiser and someone who genuinely enjoys helping customers and getting things done.

You'll be proactive, self-motivated and comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change throughout the day. You'll also have the confidence to manage challenging situations, find solutions and ensure that clients receive the best possible service.

You'll also need:

  • Previous experience in a busy, customer-focused or target-driven environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confidence handling customer queries over the telephone.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Previous experience within property maintenance, property management, estate agency, lettings or contractor coordination would be advantageous, as would experience managing business-to-business relationships. However, neither is essential and full training will be provided to the right candidate.

Above all, we're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, dependable, enjoys a challenge and takes pride in delivering great customer service.
