Job Details

• Contract: 12 months Fixed Term Contract
• Location: London
• Work from Home: 3 days per week, subject to company policy
• Reporting to: Director of Legal and Head of Litigation

Job Purpose

Join a leading Asset Manager's litigation team for a 12-month fixed-term contract. Provide legal support focusing on dispute resolution, litigation, and risk minimization. Knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 is essential.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with senior management and legal team members, taking instructions and providing updates.
2. Manage a caseload of property litigation matters, including all stages from pre-litigation to trial or hearing advocacy.
3. Handle ad-hoc building safety and property litigation issues, with supervision as needed.
4. Coordinate with external solicitors and counsel, monitoring costs and obtaining approvals.
5. Advise internal clients on property legislation and compliance issues.
6. Maintain case files, records, and reports on legal activities.
7. Ensure deadlines are met and protect the company's interests.
8. Draft and review legal documents and agreements, and advise on procedures and policies.

Skills and Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister in England & Wales with a current Practising Certificate.
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant post-qualification experience.
• Strong academic and professional credentials.
• Experience with the Building Safety Act 2022 and residential long leasehold properties.
