Search Consultancy Ltd is seeking a Property Inspector (Damp / Mould) to inspect properties with damp and mould, recording findings and turning them into clear repair instructions while coordinating with a responsive repairs team and contractors in Aberdeen.

The role involves 35 hours per week (Mon–Fri) at £20.97–£23.50/hour PAYE, with a contract until March 2027. You will maintain statutory records and produce reports using Word and Excel to support compliant, resident-focused works.

Qualifications

• SVQ/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Full driving licence.
• Health and safety awareness relevant to property and maintenance work.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute in meetings.
• Confident communication skills to liaise with contractors and building contacts.
• Desirable: CSCS card.
• Desirable: Asbestos awareness training, experience in a local authority environment, and experience on construction sites and with AWABS Law.

Responsabilités

• Carry out on-site inspections of properties with reported damp and mould issues.

• Issue clear instructions and work orders to contractors based on inspection outcomes.
• Help monitor and manage contractor performance against agreed standards.
• Liaise with building responsible persons to plan access, discuss issues and confirm completed works.

Property Inspector (Damp / Mould)

Inspect properties with damp and mould issues and make sure repairs and maintenance resolve problems safely and promptly. Work closely with a responsive repairs team, contractors and building contacts so statutory records stay accurate and works run smoothly.

Role details

20.97- 23.50 per hour PAYE, 35 hours Monday to Friday, contract until March 2027 based in Aberdeen.

Overview
