Pertemps Edinburgh Contracts is seeking a Property Inspector to cover Edinburgh city-wide on a full-time temporary basis (3 months, possible extension). Salary is £18.34 per hour for a 36-hour week, starting ASAP.

You will visit properties to check condition on handover, assess lettable standard, and schedule essential works. You will coordinate and supervise contractors and ensure timely completion, with meters read and safes fitted.

Pertemps Edinburgh Contracts seeks a Property Inspector for a public sector client, working city-wide across Edinburgh on a full-time temporary basis for three months, with possible extension. The role pays £18.34 per hour over 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, starting as soon as possible. Duties include attending properties to assess condition when keys are received, confirming each meets a lettable standard, and compiling schedules of essential works. The inspector arranges and manages contractors, verifying completion to a high standard and on schedule, fits key safes, checks property age and records meter readings. Candidates need strong observational skills, accurate record-keeping, contractor supervision experience and the ability to work independently across multiple sites. • Pay rate - £18.34 per hour

The successful candidate will be:

• Attending properties to check initial condition when keys are received
• Checking properties to ensure they it is of a lettable standard
• Compiling a list of essential works required to get it to the necessary standard
• Arranging for works to be carried out
• Managing contractors to ensure works are carried out to a high standard and on time
• Check works have been completed
• Fit key safes
• Checking the age of the property
• Take meter readings
• Any other tasks as required

You should have a background in either surveying, property or a trade.

You should be competent with MS Outlook and Excel.
