Job summary

Chadwick Nott in Cardiff is seeking an experienced Property Development Solicitor (5-8 PQE) to join its established Property team. The role offers hybrid working up to 2 days per week after probation and involves advising developers and funders on land acquisitions, development agreements and disposals.

You will handle a varied caseload with minimal supervision, demonstrating drafting and due diligence across lifecycle developments.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with 5-8 years' PQE in England & Wales.
• Strong property development experience.

Responsibilities

• Advise on development funder requirements for borrowers.
• Conduct full development due diligence for funders.
• Handle onward disposals of completed units and investments.

Property Development Solicitor – 5-8 PQE – Cardiff Location: Cardiff (hybrid working up to 2 days per week after probation) Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time Salary: £55,000 – £75,000 (depending on experience)

A leading regional practice is seeking an experienced Property Development Solicitor (5-8 PQE) to join its established and growing Property team in Cardiff. This role is ideal for a solicitor with strong development experience who can work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative, high performing team advising private and public sector developers and funders.

The Role

• Acting on land acquisitions via options, conditional contracts and package deals
• Advising on conditional agreements for lease for pre lets
• Managing site assembly work, including planning and adoption agreements, wayleaves and substation transfers
• Assisting with construction documentation where required
• Advising on development funder requirements when acting for borrowers
• Conducting full development due diligence when acting for funders
• Handling onward disposals of completed units and investment sales

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 5-8 years’ PQE
• Strong experience in property development work
• Ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision
• Strong drafting skills for acquisition and disposal documentation
• Experience managing developments across their lifecycle
