Job summary

Chadwick Nott is seeking an experienced Property Development Solicitor to join its Cardiff team. The role focuses on advising private and public sector developers and funders, with responsibility for land acquisitions, options, conditional contracts and site assembly.

This permanent, full-time position offers hybrid working up to two days per week after probation and a competitive salary in the £55,000–£75,000 range, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 5-8 years' PQE.
• Strong property development experience.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
• Strong drafting skills for acquisition and disposal documentation.
• Experience managing developments across their lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Acting on land acquisitions via options, conditional contracts and package deals.
• Advising on conditional agreements for lease for pre lets
• Managing site assembly work, including planning and adoption agreements, wayleaves and substation transfers
• Assisting with construction documentation where required
• Advising on development funder requirements when acting for borrowers
• Conducting full development due diligence when acting for funders
• Handling onward disposals of completed units and investment sales

A leading regional practice is seeking an experienced Property Development Solicitor (5-8 PQE) to join its established and growing Property team in Cardiff. This role is ideal for a solicitor with strong development experience who can work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative, high performing team advising private and public sector developers and funders.

The Role

• Acting on land acquisitions via options, conditional contracts and package deals

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:
