Job summary

A leading national law firm in Manchester is seeking a Property Damage Solicitor to join its team. You will handle property recovery claims arising from fire, flood, impact and product liability, often exceeding £100,000 in value.

This role offers exposure to high-value insurance litigation and a supportive, fast-paced environment with a clear progression path through a growing specialist team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent).
• 1-3 years' experience in property litigation (defendant or claimant considered).
• Experience handling property damage recovery claims.
• Good working knowledge of household and commercial property claims.
• Strong analytical and drafting skills.
• Excellent communication and client care ability.
• Able to manage a caseload independently and as part of a team.
• Commercially aware with an interest in negotiation and advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Handle household and commercial property recovery claims.
• Investigate liability and assess prospects of recovery.
• Draft legal documents and manage disclosure processes.
• Instruct counsel and experts where required.
• Prepare for hearings, negotiations, and ADR processes.
• Attend court and support case progression through to resolution.
• Provide clear, commercially focused advice to clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
