Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Property Compliance Manager on a 4-5 month interim contract with a local authority. The role focuses on ensuring statutory compliance across the council's property portfolio, coordinating site inspections, managing contractors, and driving remediation actions.

Based at Churchill Court, Bromley, the post requires thorough knowledge of gas, electrical, fire safety and water hygiene, with strong collaboration with internal teams and legal advisors

Qualifications

• Proven experience in property compliance, facilities management, or building maintenance.
• Ability to conduct site inspections and identify compliance issues.
• Experience managing contractors and supervising the execution of works.
• Knowledge of statutory property compliance including gas, electrical, fire safety, and water hygiene.
• Understanding of building pathology and M&E systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of council properties to evaluate adherence to statutory regulations.
• Identify non-compliance areas and ensure corrective actions are planned and executed.
• Confirm that compliance standards are maintained across various property types and assets.
• Oversee third-party contractors to ensure compliance tasks are completed within set timelines and quality standards.
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure work is executed effectively and according to specifications.
• Develop and manage remedial action plans, tracking their progress to completion.
