Job summary

Beazley manages claims with proactive leadership across individual claims and portfolios to optimise spend and achieve high levels of satisfaction for the insured and broker through high quality claim management and service.

This role focuses on leading strategies, ensuring compliance with standards and maintaining strong relationships with underwriters, insureds and brokers within the Group Claims division.

Qualifications

• Claims handling experience ideally focused on Open Market Property and D&F.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage individual claims from notification to closure with appropriate involvement.
• Develop, document and execute claims strategies considering uncertainties and costs.
• Follow Claims Reserving Philosophy and Claims Standards at all times.
• Understand and implement Treating Customers Fairly policy.
• Manage portfolios to optimise performance and keep reserves up to date.
• Identify issues in the portfolio and take corrective action.
• Work with underwriters to discuss claims issues and provide input on reviews.
• Feedback trends and developments and suggest wordings improvements.
• Operate within approved claims authority and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage 3rd party professionals and conduct file reviews when required.
• Develop strong relations with brokers and insureds, promoting Beazley standards.
