Claims Handler Role at a Dynamic Loss Adjusting Organisation

An experienced Claims Handler is required to join a vibrant and busy team providing building claims solutions on a nationwide basis. You will manage your own caseload of new and existing property claims.

Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming calls and electronic instructions.
  • Liaise with customers, clients, and insurers via phone, email, and written communication.
  • Handle and resolve technical insurance questions from clients.
  • Monitor the progress of claims within deadlines.
  • Assess claims to determine liability and accept or decline within delegated authority.
  • Manage appointments and coordinate with third-party suppliers such as building networks, drying/restoration, and flooring suppliers.
Experience Required:
  • Cradle-to-grave buildings/property claims handling experience - Essential
  • Excellent customer service skills in a telephone environment - Essential
  • Ability to work within targets - Essential
  • Diary management experience - Essential
  • Experience in booking and arranging appointments - Essential
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload - Essential
  • Experience handling challenging situations and complaints - Essential
  • Empathy skills to assist customers with losses/damage to homes due to fire, flood, or water impact - Essential
Salary & Benefits:
  • Up to £28,000 per annum
