About the role

The position will be within the busy Property and Casualty claims team. The role is for a mid to senior technical claims handler.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of global casualty claims and providing assistance to the Casualty Advocate and Head of Specialty P&C as well as colleagues on the team.

About you

• You should have extensive casualty claims experience, preferably in the London Market, with a strong understanding of the legal principles of insurance. Claims will emanate from General Liability, Product Recall, Contingency, A&H, and other sources.
• You should be able to quickly understand a client’s business issues, insurance needs, and expectations, and use that knowledge in managing their claims.
• You will need the ability to prepare and interpret claims experiences and bordereaux.
• The role requires a detailed understanding of direct and Facultative insurance programmes and how complex shared and layered programmes operate.
• You will be expected to consult with placing brokers, underwriters, and clients on their claims experience and insurance needs, representing Lockton professionally.
