Job summary

Accent Group Ltd. is seeking a Property Appraisal Officer to influence how we invest in and manage our housing portfolio. You will conduct detailed analysis, build business cases, and provide evidence-based recommendations to support strategic decisions.

You’ll work within the Asset Strategy team on property performance, portfolio viability, and value-for-money considerations, communicating findings clearly to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to build financial models and business cases.
• Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Experience in asset appraisal or investment evaluation.
• Ability to produce concise recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Comfort with large, complex datasets.

Responsibilities

• Assess performance and viability of properties and portfolios to inform strategy.
• Identify investment and reinvestment opportunities and capital allocation.
• Support redevelopment and major repair decisions.
• Evaluate long-term asset performance and value for money.
• Develop and present evidence-based recommendations to senior stakeholders.

At Accent, we're embarking on an exciting new chapter in the delivery of our Asset Strategy, and we're looking for a Property Appraisal Officer to help us make some of the most important recommendations about the future of our homes and communities.

This is a unique opportunity to influence how we invest in, improve and manage our housing portfolio. Through detailed analysis, financial modelling and evidence-based recommendations, you'll play a key role in ensuring our homes deliver the greatest possible value for our customers, communities and charitable purpose.

As part of our Asset Strategy team, you'll assess the performance and viability of individual properties and larger portfolios, helping inform the direction around:

• Investment and reinvestment opportunities
• Property improvements and major repairs
• Redevelopment projects
• Long-term asset performance and value for money
• Disposal strategies

Salary

The spot salary for this post is £42,418 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. If you’re still developing some of the skills or experience, you can start at a salary 5% or 10% below the spot rate, with clear support and progression opportunities to reach the full amount.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong analytical skills with commercial awareness and a passion for making a difference.

You May Come From a Housing, Property, Finance, Asset Management, Investment, Valuation Or Analytical Background And Will Ideally Have Experience Of

• Financial modelling and business case development
• Data analysis and interpretation
• Asset appraisal or investment evaluation
• Producing recommendations for senior stakeholders
• Working with large and complex datasets

Most importantly, you'll be curious, confident in your analysis and able to communicate complex information in a clear and engaging way.

The successful applicant will be subject to pre‑employment checks, such as DBS and social media screening, before an offer is confirmed.
