Proofpoint SME role located in Wokingham is seeking an expert to lead design, implementation, and operation of Proofpoint security solutions in a large enterprise. You will manage email protection platforms and authentication standards, collaborating with SOC and Microsoft 365 teams to strengthen threat defenses.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in cyber security with hands-on Proofpoint experience, and is SC cleared or SC eligible where required for critical national infrastructure roles.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Cyber Security, Messaging Security, or Enterprise Security Administration.
• 4+ years hands-on with Proofpoint solutions.
• Strong expertise in Email Security, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and DLP.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Proofpoint solutions across the enterprise.
• Manage email security policies, spam filtering, malware protection, and threat rules.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to email-based security incidents.
• Collaborate with SOC, Infra, and Microsoft 365 teams on security initiatives.
• Provide L3/L4 support and mentor junior engineers.
• Support audits, compliance activities, and security reviews.
• Perform platform upgrades, health checks, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
