Job summary

Homes England seeks a proactive Manager to progress delivery of regional priorities in the London & East Region, coordinating projects from Oxford to other areas, including new settlements and regeneration schemes. You will lead planning, commissioning and collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery.

You will drive pipeline development and shape longer-term strategies while balancing day-to-day delivery under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

A bit about the role...

You will progress delivery of HMG priorities in the London & East Region. You will help create a pipeline of projects and coordinate their delivery, in Oxford, Oxfordshire, or elsewhere in the region, including projects that will transform places and communities including new settlements, major urban extensions, and regeneration schemes, while applying expert commercial and development knowledge to help make them a reality.

As a Manager, you will manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment and delivery, leading project planning and commissioning, and supporting collaboration. The role will support the design and delivery of key strategic and complex projects.

This role offers the chance to balance day-to-day delivery with shaping longer-term strategies, pipeline development and innovative approaches to development.

A bit about you…

You’ll be comfortable working on complex development opportunities, applying strong project management skills to support partners and colleagues to navigate challenges and unlock delivery, including on projects where there may be competing priorities, viability issues or infrastructure constraints.

You will be confident in building and managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and able to influence and negotiate to achieve positive outcomes.

You will bring commercial and operational awareness andan understanding of planning, development, infrastructure, regeneration or related sectors.

You will enjoy working in a fast paced environment with short deadlines where not all the questions yet have answers, and you will need to be able to negotiate and persuade.

You’ll understand how to work with multidisciplinary project teams and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.

You will ideally have a background in working on complex projects, with experience of identifying and overcoming development constraints with awareness of key technical project risks, and implementation of appropriate mitigation strategies.

The applicant will also ideally have experience in the procurement and management of multi-disciplinary teams.

Essential: degree level qualification or equivalent experience as a: Chartered Surveyor (MRICS), Town Planner (MRTPI), urban regeneration specialist or experience in development finance.

As a manager, you will be asked to support on a number of projects that require various property development skills and knowledge. We appreciate you may not have all of the skills/experience listed in the job description.
