Job summary

Social Work England is seeking a Projects and Improvement Officer to strengthen project delivery methods and ensure documentation is complete and accessible. You will support senior managers, boards and directors, driving portfolio performance and benefits realisation across projects in a collaborative, learning-oriented environment.

You will oversee governance, collate monthly reports, facilitate lessons learned and coordinate meetings while handling multiple large work streams with a strong

Qualifications

• Demonstrable knowledge of project methodology and Prince2 or equivalent.
• Ability to analyse information, identify risks and report on progress.
• Strong attention to detail and organised work style.
• Experience in facilitating meetings and lessons learned exercises.
• Ability to create detailed reports for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project management approach and improve documentation.
• Collate highlights and monthly portfolio reports for stakeholders.
• Support portfolio performance assessment and business plan delivery.
• Facilitate lessons learned and document findings.
• Prepare agendas, distribute documents and draft minutes for key meetings.
• Support delivery of large/complex projects and undertake own delivery when needed.
• Assist with benefits realisation reporting and evidence collection.
• Identify and manage issues, risks and dependencies across projects.
• Ensure projects comply with EDI and data protection requirements.
• Collaborate with change and improvement team on risk management planning.
