Job description

A Systems Administrator will work within the Project and Programme Delivery (PPD) department to configure, maintain, and support systems for the team and the wider Business.

In this busy and fast-paced role, you will provide system administration and technical support to the department, contributing to its continuous improvement using your well-developed systems experience.

Preferred Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

• Knowledge of Jira System, including Cloud and Data Centre.
• Experience with Confluence, including Data Centre and SharePoint administration.
• Understanding of system administration, maintenance, and release planning.
• Up-to-date RedHat and Ubuntu Linux administration experience.
• Exposure to SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) report development.
• Proficiency in PowerBI development and sourcing data from various sources.
• Ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel (pivot charts), PowerPoint, and Visio.

Main Responsibilities

• Configuring, maintaining, and providing technical support for Jira and Confluence applications used by the Business.
• Designing, developing, and supporting Jira project configurations to meet evolving Business process needs.
• Supporting routine maintenance activities, including operating system and application patching in PPD environments, following scheduled plans.
• Developing and managing permission models to ensure appropriate access control.
• Providing internal support for Business users, responding promptly to questions and issues.
• Developing and delivering real-time reports using PowerBI and SSRS, sourcing data from multiple sources for management and end-users.
• Producing repeatable and ad hoc management information related to delivery portfolios and lifecycles, including KPIs.
• Performing end-to-end system testing during changes or upgrades.
• Providing technical consultations and liaising with other teams within the technology domain.
• Supporting the Senior Project Systems Administrator in implementing process improvements, platform upgrades, and system changes, including functional testing.
