Skilled Careers is seeking a Project Surveyor in Ilford to lead the commercial management of large residential and commercial developments. With project values up to £30 million, you will oversee procurement, subcontract packages, valuations, forecasts and final accounts, ensuring strong client and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience as Quantity Surveyor / Project Surveyor within a main contracting environment.
• Experience across large residential, commercial or mixed-use developments.
• Commercially astute, well organised, confident managing your own packages and projects.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the wider project team.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial delivery of projects from pre-construction through to final account.
• Procurement and management of subcontract packages.
• Preparing valuations, payment applications and forecasts.
• Managing variations, compensation events and commercial changes.
• Preparing and maintaining accurate cost reports.
• Managing subcontractor accounts and payments.
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
• Working closely with the project team to maximise project performance.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Negotiating and agreeing final accounts.
