Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Building strong relationships with residents, leaseholders, and stakeholder groups, keeping them informed and consulted throughout project delivery.
  • Managing complex repairs, complaints, budgets, risk assessments, and project records while providing technical advice to colleagues and stakeholders.

You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement by identifying more efficient ways of delivering services, promoting best practice, and sharing learning from projects, complaints, and customer feedback.

This role is based at one of our main offices in Farringdon, Croydon, Maidstone, or Sittingbourne, with hybrid working arrangements available where appropriate and agreed with your manager.

You’ll bring:

Relevant experience:

  • Experience in building surveying, construction, or asset management within a customer-focused environment.
  • Proven experience managing planned maintenance, major works, service contracts, and contractor performance.

Skills and knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of building construction, property maintenance, health and safety, and relevant legislation.
  • Experience undertaking property surveys, defect diagnosis, and preparing specifications and schedules of work.

Communication skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to different audiences.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with residents, leaseholders, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Problem-solving ability:

  • Ability to diagnose property defects, manage complex repairs, and identify effective solutions.
  • Confidence in resolving complaints and balancing customer needs with operational requirements.

Organisation and prioritisation:

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • A methodical approach with excellent attention to detail and a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.

Teamwork:

  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, contractors, and customers.
  • Experience supporting, supervising, or guiding others to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Adaptability:
