Are you highly organised, proactive and passionate about supporting the successful delivery of complex projects? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Support Officer to join the Programme Management Team supporting Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE). In this vital role, you will provide day-to-day project support, helping to coordinate strategic initiatives that contribute to keeping communities safe and enabling operational teams to deliver effectively. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop your project management career within a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. For this reason a full UK Driving Licence is essential to the role. You will also be required to perform on-call arrangements for immediate response as required across the South East region.
Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level SC together with a number of enhanced security checks. You must be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past five years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and those studying abroad. Please be aware that if successful there are limitations on travelling to a small number of countries once in post.
You can find more information about security vetting here.
If you are a permanent member of TVP staff applying for this role, please note it will be offered on a secondment basis. Important: All secondments must be supported in writing by your Line Manager and Head of Department/Commander or Deputy. If the secondment is not supported then a strong business rationale must be sent to recruitmentse@thamesvalley.police.uk quoting the reference number for the role. Please attach written approval from your line manager and Head of Department in your application. If the secondment is not supported then the role may be offered on a fixed term contract basis, but this has implications including loss of continuous service protections.
In certain circumstances, the same arrangement may be available to staff from other police forces. Applicants should consult their HR team to confirm whether their application will be supported on a secondment basis.
Police staff who are employed with Hampshire Police are requested to please submit an AD277b alongside their application. This form is not available on the force’s standard forms library.
