Job summary

XPS Group is seeking a Project Support Officer (IT) to join the Development and Delivery team within XPS IT, supporting pension administration software delivery for customers and clients.

The role is based in Newcastle with remote or hybrid options, and involves planning workloads, maintaining plans and reports, coordinating meetings, and managing small change projects to improve processes.

Qualifications

  • Must have the right to work in the UK with no restrictions.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office 365.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Be proactive, with the ability to multi-task and respond to changing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively to stakeholders of all seniority levels, from a range of diverse backgrounds and via a range of methods; including telephone, Instant Message, Video Conference and written communications.
  • Experience of being accountable, with the ability to work independently and where necessary, from home (without a team physically located around you).
  • Enthusiastic, positive, and flexible approach to work with willingness to learn.
  • Ability to create and manage documentation, paying attention to detail.
  • Able to work as part of a multi-disciplined team.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Strong belief in adhering to deadlines and quality service.
  • Able to recognise the need for a customer focused approach to delivery both in terms of quality and exceeding customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting Team in planning & co-ordinating workloads; including regular BAU activities, project activities including setting-up and maintaining team documentation e.g. Plans, Status Reports, Risk and Issue Logs.
  • Documenting/following up actions with internal and external parties,
  • Facilitating meetings, agendas and meeting minutes.
  • Managing small change and implementation projects.
  • Producing management reporting across the administration application portfolio.
  • Co-ordinating responses for audits, etc
  • Management of tickets within ServiceNow
  • Process Improvements

About The Role

This role sits within the Development and Delivery team (part of XPS IT); a centralised technical team that specialises in the management and maintenance of the core software packages used to deliver pension administration services to XPS Administration customers and clients. The team is located across the XPS Administration national offices.

  • Previous experience in project-based work is desirable.
  • ITSM/ITIL knowledge
