A leading company is seeking a Project Support Officer to provide comprehensive project support, ensuring projects are well-planned and delivered on time and within budget. The role involves administrative duties, collaboration with project managers, and communication with external stakeholders, making it ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and project management experience.
The Project Support Officer will be expected to provide comprehensive project support, working closely with project teams to ensure projects are well-planned, resourced, and delivered to high standards, on time, and within budget. The role includes supporting the Buried Networks Team in organizing and following up on regular team meetings. Administrative duties involve assisting Project Managers with meetings, minute-taking, updating risk registers, and chairing meetings in the Project Managers' absence. The Project Support Officer reports to the Senior Project Manager for line management and development.
The officer will collaborate with Project Managers to ensure successful project development, execution, and handover. The role also involves communication with external parties such as consultants, contractors, staff, organizations, the public, and other stakeholders.
Essential: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong commercial and contractual knowledge, high initiative, organization, adaptability, attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to work under pressure both independently and in teams.
Desirable: Knowledge of SAP ERP, document management systems, Microsoft Project & PowerBi, strong communication skills, passion for process improvement, and excellent attention to detail.
Essential: Experience providing high-quality project administrative support.
Desirable: At least 3 years in project management, business administration, or permitting processes; experience with technical projects; project management qualification (e.g., APM, Prince2, PMI); relevant diploma or training.
