Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Project Support Coordinator to help deliver a portfolio of Substation Protection & Control projects in the UK. The role involves governance, reporting, cost planning and data management to keep work on track across Leeds or Warwick.

You will work with Portfolio Project Managers and engineers to ensure accurate information and timely decisions, producing dashboards and supporting investment activity within a complex engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified or equivalent in Engineering, Business, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting engineering, utilities, infrastructure or construction projects.
• Knowledge of project controls, PMO, project coordination or portfolio management activities.
• Experience working with project data, reporting, forecasting or financial information.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work across multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Advanced Excel skills are essential; experience with Power BI, project reporting tools or financial systems would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support a portfolio of Substation Protection & Control projects with setup, governance, reporting and closure.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Project Managers, engineers and stakeholders to keep information accurate and decisions moving.
• Produce performance reports and dashboards; assist cost planning, forecasting, sanctioning and project closure activities.
• Coordinate governance reviews and actions; ensure progress remains visible and well-managed.
