Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Assistant Project Manager / Project Support Officer to join our Northeast P3M team in the UK. You will support successful delivery of infrastructure and public sector projects by providing administrative and coordination backstop to project and programme teams.

You do not need extensive project experience; your attitude, potential and transferable skills are valued as you develop through mentoring and formal training.

Overview

Become a vital member of our growing Northeast Project, Programme and Portfolio Management (P3M) team. This is an exciting opportunity to start or develop your career in project management, working alongside experienced project and programme professionals on a diverse range of infrastructure, transportation, defence, energy, nuclear, water and public sector projects.

Your role

As an Assistant Project Manager / Project Support Officer, you will support the successful delivery of projects and programmes by:

  • Working collaboratively with clients, colleagues and wider project teams.
  • Developing your project management knowledge and professional skills through mentoring and formal training.

  • Experience in administration, coordination, planning, scheduling or reporting roles.
  • Exposure to projects, change initiatives or operational improvement activities.
  • A degree, apprenticeship, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification.
  • Membership of, or interest in joining, a professional body such as the APM.
  • Experience working with data, reporting or business processes.
