Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Leeds is seeking an Assistant Project Manager / Project Support Officer to help deliver projects and programmes in a growing Northeast P3M team. You will provide administrative support, assist with planning, and help with governance, reporting and documentation across infrastructure, transportation, defence, energy and public sector projects.

You don’t need extensive project experience; strong organisational and communication skills, willingness to learn and a proactive mindset

This is an exciting opportunity to start or develop your career in project management, working alongside experienced project and programme professionals on a diverse range of infrastructure, transportation, defence, energy, nuclear, water and public sector projects.

Your role

As an Assistant Project Manager / Project Support Officer, you will support the successful delivery of projects and programmes by:

  • Providing administrative and coordination support to project and programme teams.
  • Assisting with planning activities, schedules, actions and milestone tracking.
  • Supporting project reporting, governance and performance monitoring.
  • Preparing meeting materials, recording actions and tracking progress.

  • Supporting financial tracking, resource planning and project controls activities.
  • Helping identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Working collaboratively with clients, colleagues and wider project teams.
  • Developing your project management knowledge and professional skills through mentoring and formal training.

  • A degree, apprenticeship, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification.
  • Membership of, or interest in joining, a professional body such as the APM.
  • Experience working with data, reporting or business processes.
