Job summary

Henley Chase is seeking a practical, organised Project Supervisor to support delivery of construction projects across London and the South-East. The role is site-based with regular travel and progression into Project Management as you gain knowledge and experience.

You will carry out pre-installation surveys, coordinate labour and deliveries, monitor site progress and quality, and build strong relationships with customers and subcontractors while aiming for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Practical construction/fit-out background desirable.
• Confident communicating with customers, site teams and operatives.
• Good measuring skills, attention to detail and quality control understanding.
• Strong written and spoken English with numeracy skills.
• Proficient with Outlook, Word and Excel; capable of site reports.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-installation surveys, assess site readiness and programme requirements.
• Identify site constraints, risks, missing information and potential delays; communicate promptly.
• Coordinate labour, deliveries, materials, tools and consumables for installations.
• Visit live sites to monitor progress, workmanship, health & safety, and compliance.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers, site managers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate site access, deliveries and day-to-day installation activities.
• Inspect ongoing and completed works; identify defects and ensure corrective actions.
• Record flood tests, inspections, sign-offs and photographic records.

Project Supervisor

Location: Hook, Hampshire

Salary: £29,500-£33,000, dependent on experience

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The Opportunity

We are seeking a practical, organised and customer-focused Project Supervisor to support the delivery of construction projects across London and the South-East.

The intention is to recruit someone into a Project Supervisor role, with the opportunity to progress into Project Management once they have developed the required technical knowledge, site experience and project management capabilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a construction or trade background who wants to develop their skills, take on greater responsibility and build a long-term career in project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-installation surveys, assessing site readiness, access, storage and programme requirements.
• Identify site constraints, risks, missing information and potential delays, communicating these promptly.
• Coordinate labour, deliveries, materials, tools and consumables to support efficient installations.
• Visit live sites to monitor progress, workmanship, health and safety, and compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers, site managers, subcontractors and other trades.
• Coordinate site access, deliveries and day-to-day installation activities.
• Inspect ongoing and completed works, identifying defects and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
• Conduct and accurately record flood tests, inspections, sign-offs and photographic records.
• Measure bespoke grilles and made-to-measure components accurately before manufacture.
• Check installations against drawings, specifications and required quality standards.
• Report defects, damage, variations, delays and non-conformances promptly.
• Take on increasing responsibility, working towards promotion into Project Management.

Experience and Skills

• Practical experience in construction, fit-out, waterproofing, bathrooms or a related trade environment is desirable.
• Confident communicating with customers, site teams and installation operatives.
• Good practical measuring skills, attention to detail and an understanding of quality control.
• Strong written and spoken English, with good numeracy skills.
• Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, with the ability to prepare clear site reports.
• Well organised, able to prioritise workloads and adapt to changing site requirements.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across London and the South-East.
• Relevant CSCS card or willingness to obtain one.

Working Hours and Location

The role is predominantly site-based, with regular visits to projects across London and the South-East. Office-based hours are typically 8:30am-5:00pm, with early starts required when travelling to sites.

The successful candidate should ideally live within approximately 30 minutes of the Hook, Hampshire office, close to Junction 5 of the M3
