Job title: Project Supervisor
Job Type: 12 month Contract
IR35 Status: Inside IR35 PAYE/Umbrella
Start date: ASAP
Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: Negotiable
Location: Thurso
Hours Per Week: 37 hours / 7.4 hours a day Willing to work on a casual shift basis

Role information:

1. The purpose of the job is to supervise the safe delivery of physical work.
2. The job holder will be responsible for supervising the safe, secure, and environmentally compliant work by SQEP individuals, intervening if appropriate.
3. The job holder must be aware of the legal implications for the role and the scope and boundaries of the task being carried out.
4. This role applies to all projects, including those in non-nuclear locations.
5. The candidate must be able to be on-site, contactable, and able to attend the workplace within around ten minutes during significant operations, and support contingencies that may arise.
6. Must remain contactable during low-risk operations.
7. Retains responsibility even when not physically at the work site, including direct supervision.
8. A Project Supervisor for a Category 1 Facility or project work in such a facility is a Duly Authorized Person under License Condition 12.

Applicants must have experience of:

• Relevant experience of processing operations.
• Practical experience working with alkali metals (advantageous).

Ideally, applicants should also have:

• A mechanical fitter trade background (advantageous).
