BIG Solutions is a specialist programme/scheduling consultant, commissioned to work on a diverse range of projects across sectors including corporate, government agencies, and multinational organizations. These commissions involve managing and delivering control services from initial project conception through to delivery and closeout.

Who are we looking for:

A planner with detailed knowledge of project management principles, delivery techniques, and program management. The ideal candidate will have experience in driving schedules, understanding contract requirements, and reporting methods. The role requires a professional demeanor and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. You should be capable of guiding issue resolution and managing key risks to ensure project delivery.

You should have at least 5 years of experience working as a planner within the construction sector.

What is the role:

Programme creation:

• Provide planning services for the preparation of programmes across various projects.
• Utilize specialist planning software, including Asta PowerProject.
• Calculate production outputs, and develop and present plans/programmes.
• Perform risk and opportunity analysis.
• Develop recovery strategies in collaboration with the project team.
• Prepare logistics plans.
• Analyze sites and local environments to determine suitable logistics solutions and resources.

Tender Process:

• Assist in developing tender documentation.
• Assess tender responses.

Programme monitoring:

• Monitor progress throughout the project, comparing actual progress with the planned programme.
• Collaborate closely with the commercial team to exchange key information.
• Report findings and recommend solutions to recover delays.
• Record relevant events for potential entitlement claims.
• Use graphics and narratives to reflect progress, event impacts, and forecasts.

Other responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing presentation materials and delivering presentations to various teams.
