Pertemps is seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established construction company delivering high-quality, design-led developments across Cornwall. Projects typically valued at £5 million and above, you will own financial and contractual management from procurement through to final accounts.

You will work with project teams, clients and subcontractors to maintain financial control, maximise value, handle interim valuations, variations and cost reporting, and ensure

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Strong procurement, subcontract management, cost reporting and final accounts.
• Experience with JCT contracts and contract administration.
• Excellent financial, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet commercial deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office and relevant project management software.
• Degree in QS or related field, or working towards RICS.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience across commercial, residential, hospitality or mixed-use developments is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Manage the commercial performance of projects from pre-construction through to completion.
• Lead procurement activities, tender evaluations and subcontract negotiations.
• Prepare, negotiate and administer subcontract agreements and associated documentation.
• Manage interim valuations, payment applications and certification processes.
• Monitor variations, change control and extensions of time, ensuring all commercial implications are assessed and recorded.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations and final account negotiations.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts and financial updates for senior management.
• Monitor project expenditure, cash flow and profitability, identifying and managing commercial risks.
• Work closely with project teams to identify opportunities for value engineering and cost efficiencies.
• Support estimating, budgeting and cost planning activities where required.
• Ensure contractual compliance and maintain accurate commercial records throughout each project.
