Job summary

Build Maintain Recruit Limited is supporting an established Exeter-based construction consultancy to recruit a Project Quantity Surveyor. The role offers exposure to a varied portfolio of projects and the chance to take ownership while developing technical expertise and client relationships.

As a Project Quantity Surveyor you will manage the commercial aspects from inception to completion, including cost planning, tendering, contract administration and reporting within a supportive consultancy

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Experience delivering quantity surveying and cost management on construction projects.
• Good understanding of procurement, cost planning, contract administration and commercial reporting.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage workloads effectively and work independently and as part of a team.
• Desire to progress toward MRICS chartership where required.

Responsibilities

• Providing cost management and quantity surveying services across a range of projects.
• Preparing cost plans, estimates and tender documentation.
• Managing procurement processes and analysing tender returns.
• Administering contracts and managing variations and change control.
• Monitoring project costs, budgets and expenditure throughout the project lifecycle.
• Preparing valuations, cost reports and final accounts.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders.
• Supporting the delivery of projects to agreed budgets, programmes and quality standards.
