Job summary

Advantage Resourcing UK Ltd, partnering with a key client, is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to oversee contracts and project costs in infrastructure and civil engineering. You will manage a junior team, perform NEC contract administration, and independently measure, value, and document progress in line with procedures.

The role emphasizes end-to-end supplier procurement, cost-review, and value-for-money assurance, with guidance for developing other team members.

Certain Advantage is partnering with a key client to recruit a Managing Quantity Surveyor. You will actively seek to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality for clients.

What will you be doing?

• Managing contracts and costs relating to infrastructure and civil engineering projects
• Managing junior team members
• NEC contract administration and management
• Measure, record and value work unsupervised in accordance with appropriate rules and procedures
• Composition of applications for payment, data assurance/analysis and final account procedures
• Use and manage project accounting systems, monitor costs, and produce cost vs value reconciliations
• Review programmes of works and plan commercial activities to meet the requirements of programmes

A couple of things you should know:

• End-to-end supplier procurement, supply chain management, contract administration and value for money assurance
• Support the development of other team members and provide professional guidance
• RICS preferred
