Job summary

Hays Construction & Property is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join a flagship 80m development in Western Glasgow. You will own the commercial management of a significant package of works, working with the Commercial Manager and project team to maintain robust financial control and risk management.

This role offers exposure to senior stakeholders, major subcontract packages and a clear path for rapid career progression within a leading contractor.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Experience in a main contractor environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and contractual knowledge.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractor accounts and project reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ambitious, driven and motivated to develop your career within a leading contractor.

Responsibilities

• Managing subcontract procurement from tender through to final account.
• Preparing and submitting valuations, applications and variations.
• Monitoring project costs, budgets and forecasting.
• Identifying and mitigating commercial risks and opportunities.
• Producing accurate cost reports and supporting project financial reviews.
• Negotiating subcontract accounts and maintaining strong supply chain relationships.
• Working collaboratively with operational teams to ensure successful project delivery.

The Opportunity

As Project Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial management of a significant package of works on this landmark development.
