Job summary

JL Renewable Solutions is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management on UKPN-related utilities projects from inception to final accounts. Hybrid working in Suffolk with a strong client and project delivery focus.

You will own budgets, cost reporting, CVR and ongoing commercial reporting while supporting procurement, subcontractor management and contract administration. NEC contracts knowledge and clear communication with site teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Project Quantity Surveyor or strong Assistant stepping up.
• Confident in managing project finances and commercial reporting.
• Exposure to utilities, infrastructure or power projects is highly desirable.
• Understanding of NEC contracts and framework environments is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with site teams.

Project Quantity Surveyor - Utilities / Power (UKPN Projects)

Suffolk (Hybrid working available)

£45,000 - £60,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits

An established and growing infrastructure business is looking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of works across the UK Power Networks (UKPN) region.

This is a great opportunity to join a busy and well-backed team delivering essential utilities and power projects, with strong long-term frameworks in place and a healthy pipeline of secured work.

The Role

You'll take ownership of the commercial management of projects from early stages through to final account, working closely with operational teams to ensure financial performance and contractual compliance.

• Managing project budgets, cost reporting and forecasting (CVR)
• Supporting procurement and subcontractor management
• Administering contracts and managing variations/change control
• Working closely with delivery teams to protect margin and drive value
• Ensuring accurate and timely commercial reporting

What They're Looking For

• Experience operating as a Project Quantity Surveyor (or strong Assistant stepping up)
• Confident managing project finances and commercial reporting
• Exposure to utilities, infrastructure or power projects (highly desirable)
• Understanding of NEC contracts and framework environments (advantageous)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with site teams
