Job Title: Project QS (Drylining)

Type of contract: Permanent

Location: North East London

With a turnover of over £100 million, one of London’s reputable Specialist Contractors is seeking a Project QS to join their growing and expanding team. The Project Quantity Surveyor will provide commercial support, including assisting in developing commercial strategies for specific projects by maintaining and maximising the profitability of the projects, through timely requests for payment, minimising costs including sub-contractor expenses, agreement of variations, securing payments at appropriate times, and accurate reporting.

Responsibilities

• Have a strong commercial awareness and understanding of all forms of Contracts within the Construction Industry.
• Create, review, and manage tender documentation, contracts, and formal notices; discuss these with suppliers.
• Demonstrate professional determination to achieve desired outcomes and understand both commercial and financial risks.
• Exhibit strong negotiation and effective resolution skills.
• Independently undertake key activities and liaise effectively with peers, customers, site managers, engineers, and suppliers.
• Represent the status of projects at meetings and present commercial risks and cost-effective opportunities to managers.
• Input data and create applications into a financial system.
• Manage Final Accounts.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must have a degree in Quantity Surveying with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working with a Drylining Contractor.
