Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Quality Manager in Projects to join the Quality department and act as an expert in support of the Project Delivery team. Based in one of several UK sites, you will drive customer value, quality improvement, and project excellence, promoting adoption of AI, digital tools and quality methodologies.

You will lead quality planning, incident management, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement across all project phases, coordinating with internal and external suppliers

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree or equivalent in Engineering/Manufacturing or a related field.
• Lead Auditor qualification e.g. ISO 9001 (preferred).
• Experience in a Quality Manager role within project/manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001/45001/14001/27001 and practical application in large organisations.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (preferred) or significant Lean/CI delivery.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office, data analysis, AI tools and digital workflow tools.
• CQI Membership or Accreditation (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the QM system within the portfolio and support project management in planning and securing milestone results.
• Design, implement and monitor quality plans and define targets and KPIs based on project critical factors.
• Manage quality incidents and root-cause analysis within the project, including KPIs and Cost of Poor Quality.
• Monitor supplier quality status, risks, incidents, and KPIs; advise senior leadership on action plans.
• Support continuous improvement actions across all project phases; share lessons learned through workshops and assessments.
• Plan and ensure required quality level of the project-specific supply chain and support SQM/Procurement in supplier procedures.
