Job Description:

Our Public Sector Client is looking to appoint a Permanent Procurement Project Officer who in their initial project (12 months) will support an institution within the Tayside Region and deliver procurement success.

The Procurement Project Officer will work with the institution to deliver procurement projects across various categories and spend areas, supporting the client’s needs. You will assist the Tayside Institution in achieving cost reductions, implementing strategies to mitigate future financial risks, and consolidating procurement requirements across multiple departments.

This role requires collaboration with stakeholders, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to building positive working relationships.

After the initial project, the role may involve working on different projects across institutions throughout Scotland, covering various categories and procurement activities tailored to institutional needs.

Knowledge and experience required:

• Proven experience in Public Sector Procurement
• Experience managing end-to-end tender processes, contract drafting, negotiation, and management
• Solid knowledge of Scottish/UK procurement legislation
• Experience with tendering in regulated environments, including Public Contracts (Scotland) and PRA (Scotland) Act
• Understanding of ethical, social, and environmental impacts of procurement
• Experience with project management and meeting deadlines
• Commitment to delivering excellent procurement services to stakeholders
• Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships

This role can be remote depending on your location, with occasional on-site meetings in Dundee (must be willing to commute).
