Job Description:

Our Public Sector Client is seeking a Permanent Procurement Project Officer to support an institution within the Tayside Region during an initial 12-month project, focusing on delivering procurement success.

The Procurement Project Officer will collaborate with the institution to manage procurement projects across various categories and spend areas, aiming to achieve cost reductions, mitigate financial risks, and consolidate procurement requirements across multiple departments.

This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders. After the initial project, the role may involve working on diverse projects across institutions throughout Scotland, covering various procurement activities tailored to each institution's needs.

Knowledge and experience required:

• Proven experience in Public Sector Procurement
• Experience managing end-to-end tender processes, contract drafting, negotiation, and management
• Solid knowledge of Scottish/UK procurement legislation
• Experience with tendering within regulated environments such as Public Contracts (Scotland) and PRA (Scotland) Act
• Understanding of ethical, social, and environmental impacts of procurement
• Experience with project management and meeting tight deadlines
• Commitment to delivering high-quality procurement services to stakeholders
• Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
