Location: Ashton Vale Bristol (2 to 3 days onsite)
Duration: 26 Weeks
Pay Rate: £70 to £90 Hourly via umbrella company (Depending on experience)

The difference our new Planning Discipline Lead will make
We are seeking an experienced professional to join the Mission Systems team working on large, complex defence projects. The role involves developing and maintaining a strong project planning and scheduling community, capability, and culture across our Mission Systems business. Reporting to the Head of PM&PC, you will collaborate with Discipline Leads in Cost/Estimating, Risk, Project Controls, and Project Management to embed best practices, governance, and techniques aligned with group policies, ensuring robust project delivery and proactive planning approaches.
You will support the integration of new enterprise-level planning and scheduling tools, ensuring standardised use across the portfolio. As Discipline Lead, you will oversee the planning and scheduling community, including professional development, mentoring, and coaching. Additionally, you will work with the PM&PC Operations Lead to develop a pipeline of qualified planning professionals to meet delivery demands. This is a strategic role with significant influence on the future of project planning within our business.
