Job summary

A leading infrastructure services company in the UK is seeking a Project Planner to join their Major Projects Delivery team. This role involves developing and maintaining project schedules, tracking progress, and identifing risks to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction projects and familiarity with NEC contracts. Stantec’s continued success in delivering for the UK’s leading utility providers and major infrastructure developers has created an exciting opportunity for a Project Planner to join our growing Major Projects Delivery team.

We are looking for an experienced planner to collaborate with a national team, taking on a variety of projects, primarily within the water sector Design & Construction (D&C). As a Project Planner, you will be instrumental in all project phases—from pre‑construction and design to final delivery. You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, tracking progress, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.

Within the region, you’ll have the opportunity to work on Welsh Water’s Engineering Consultancy Framework and South West Water’s Engineering Consultancy Framework. The role can be based from any of our offices in the region, including Birmingham, Redditch, Bristol, Exeter, Derby & Cardiff.

You will be joining a collaborative, supportive team, working closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders. At Stantec, we are committed to our people. About You
