Job summary

DXC Technology in Farnborough is seeking a Programme Planner/Scheduler to create and maintain integrated programme and project schedules. You will provide a single, reliable view of delivery progress, align milestones with contractual commitments, and support governance with baselines and change control.

You will use evidence-based planning techniques, manage risks and dependencies, run planning workshops, and produce insightful dashboards and reports for senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in programme or portfolio planning within complex, multi-project environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency with planning tools such as MS Project and PowerBI.

We are now looking for a Programme Planner to play a key role in building confidence in delivery through robust, integrated programme planning.

As a Project Planner/Scheduler, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality, integrated programme/project schedules that provide a single, reliable view of delivery progress.

You will use evidence-based planning techniques to ensure clarity across milestones, dependencies, risks, and overall programme confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated programme and project schedules using DXC standard planning tools.
• Align milestones and deliverables with contractual commitments across the programme.
• Monitor progress and produce insightful reporting, dashboards, and schedule analysis.
• Manage baselines, stage gates, and change control in line with governance standards.
• Facilitate planning workshops and collaborate closely with delivery
  teams, PMO, and senior stakeholders.
• Identify and manage schedule risks, issues, and cross-workstream dependencies.
• Continuously improve planning processes, tooling, and reporting capability.

What You'll Bring

• Experience in programme or portfolio planning within complex, multi-project environments.
• Strong capability with planning and reporting tools (e.g., MS Project, PowerBI,).
• Knowledge of programme and project methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across teams.

Desirable Skills

• Professional project management/controls certifications (e.g. PMQ, Project Planning and Control Practitioner etc).
• Experience working within enterprise PMO environments.
• Exposure to automated reporting solutions.
