Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Limited in Swadlincote is seeking an experienced Project Planner to join our engineering team on a 6-12 month contract. The role combines office, site and home working to deliver robust project programmes using NEC3/NEC4 processes and Primavera P6.

You will work with Project Managers, site teams and commercial colleagues to control progress, identify risks, manage dependencies and ensure timely delivery from design through commissioning and handover.

Qualifications

• Experience within engineering, mechanical engineering, M&E, industrial or engineering contracting environments.
• Strong Primavera P6 and NEC experience, with practical project delivery understanding.
• NEC3/NEC4 experience is highly beneficial, especially around early warnings, programme management, dates and contractual evidence.
• Comfortable working with both office and site teams and confident to challenge when programmes or delivery deviate.

Project Planner - Engineering / Project Controls

Location: Swadlincote / Hybrid
Rate: £400-£450 per day
IR35: Outside IR35

We are recruiting for an experienced Project Planner to join an established engineering business in Swadlincote.

This is a hands-on project controls role where you will be closely involved in how engineering projects are actually delivered. You will work alongside Project Managers, site teams and commercial colleagues to ensure projects are properly planned, controlled and delivered on time.

You will be involved from the early stages of projects through design, procurement and installation, through to commissioning, testing and handover.

The Role

About You

We are looking for a Planner with experience within engineering, mechanical engineering, M&E, industrial or engineering contracting environments.

You will ideally have strong experience using Primavera P6 and a practical understanding of how engineering projects are delivered.

NEC3/NEC4 experience would be highly beneficial, particularly around early warnings, programme management, key dates and contractual evidence.

You will need to be comfortable working with both office and site teams and have the confidence to challenge when programmes or delivery are not going to plan.

The role offers a flexible working approach, with a mixture of office, site and home working, depending on project requirements.
