Project Planner

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, England, North East

Contract Type: Temporary with potential for permanent placement

Kinetic Recruitment is currently sourcing a Project Planner for a global client within the Energy sector. This role involves supporting the delivery team with project programmes, managing project plans, and ensuring updates are provided by responsible parties. Some travel to office locations or sites may be required.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide draft work schedules for tender submissions.
2. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the planning process.
3. Develop KPIs to measure the performance of the planning function.
4. Build strong relationships with Project Managers, Engineering teams, and other stakeholders.
5. Review plans for compliance with customer requirements, create revisions, and archive outdated versions.
6. Distribute documents and inform relevant parties when action is needed.
7. Ensure departmental adherence to planning procedures.

Skills and Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Project Planner, preferably within the energy sector.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
• Experience working on National Grid projects is desirable.
• Full clean driver’s license required for travel to customer sites or offices in Leeds and Newcastle.
