Immediate Contract Role

Are you a highly experienced P6 (Primavera P6) Planner looking for your next role? Do you have experience within the engineering or construction sectors? If so, please read on as this could be the ideal role for you.

Role Outline:

The project planner is responsible for meticulously creating and managing project schedules, resource allocations, and timelines to ensure the completion of any project assigned to them. They are critical in coordinating tasks, optimising resource usage, and mitigating potential delays to ensure that projects run smoothly on a day-to-day basis. The project planner is also responsible for outlining the scope of the project as well as budgeting and tracking project costs.

Key Tasks:

• Be fully conversant with P6 and have the ability to construct a project WBS and develop the project schedule to be submitted for approval as the baseline.
• Monitor and update the schedule in accordance with the contract and produce all relevant internal and external reports to substantiate project progress against time and budget.
• Fully resource load and cost load the project plan to provide accurate in-period and cumulative data to be submitted by the project manager, internally and externally.
• Support the Planning Lead with accurate data that can demonstrate overall project performance, requiring attendance at various internal project meetings.
• Produce a critical path analysis and report any variations against it.
• Integrate various supplier schedules into an overall master project programme.
• Understand schedule interfaces and dependencies to produce various key milestones and/or Milestone Definition Sheets for acceptance.
• Interact with various groups of design and management to ensure schedule compliance is maintained and respected by all parties.
