Job summary

Carrington West in Bath is seeking an experienced Highways Planner to oversee programme planning and controls for term maintenance works. You will be site based with occasional hybrid working and work closely with the delivery team to keep programmes accurate and up to date.

You will bring proven highways planning experience, strong knowledge of Primavera P6, and the ability to manage stakeholders, monitor progress and mitigate delays on a busy maintenance programme.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Planner within highways / civil engineering.
• Strong experience using Primavera P6.
• Experience planning and programming highways schemes, ideally term maintenance works.
• Ability to develop, maintain and update detailed construction programmes
• Experience tracking progress, identifying delays and supporting mitigation/recovery plans
• Strong understanding of programme controls, critical path and progress reporting
• Comfortable working closely with site teams, subcontractors and project management
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Highways Planner - Term Maintenance | Bath

Location: Bath - site based, with occasional hybrid working

Rate: Up to £550/day (dependent on experience)

Duration: 6-month rolling contract

Start: ASAP

The successful candidate will be site based, working closely with the delivery team, with some flexibility for occasional hybrid working.

Key requirements:

• Proven experience as a Planner within highways / civil engineering

• Previous experience planning and programming highways schemes, ideally term maintenance works
• Ability to develop, maintain and update detailed construction programmes
• Experience tracking progress, identifying delays and supporting mitigation/recovery plans

• Comfortable working closely with site teams, subcontractors and project management
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
