As a P6 Planner, your role will be instrumental in supporting the planning team in the development and execution of gas replacement schemes. The programmes you work on will span different stages of the project lifecycle, from Preconstruction to Handover.
Here are some of the activities you will be involved with:
- Supporting the PMO team with developing and updating accurate programmes/schedules in accordance with business and contractual requirements. All programmes must be produced with high quality to ensure they are clearly understandable.
- Attending site when required to support project delivery and planning teams.
- Submitting programmes within contractual and business deadlines with associated reports.
- Producing tender programmes to ensure efficient and effective workflows according to design, specification, and scope of works.
- Undertaking change event programmes, tracking variations or changes, analyzing critical and non-critical project paths, and reporting back to the delivery team.
- Managing subcontract programmes in accordance with business and contract requirements, providing feedback to the supply chain for improved delivery.
- Supporting the development of junior team members.
- Producing and updating dashboards and trackers to monitor project performance.
- Communicating daily with design, consents, commercial, estimating, project teams, clients, and supply chain to support project delivery.
- Hosting and attending recurring planning meetings to update all stakeholders on project progress.
- Producing summary programmes, reports, and charts to communicate programme logic at all levels and in company presentations.
- Resource and cost loading programmes per business and contractual requirements to support dashboards, earned value management, and project performance reporting.
Construction experience is beneficial but not essential.

- A detailed and forward-thinking approach to problem solving, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to completing tasks 'right first time' in line with project protocols.
- Experience in developing schemes from preconstruction through construction to handover, with good knowledge of NEC contracts.
- Extensive experience using Primavera P6, including cost and resource loading at an advanced level, and good knowledge of MS Project.
- An understanding of NRWSA regulations would be advantageous.
- Ability to travel between sites and hold a full UK driving license.
