Job summary

Logical Personnel Solutions is seeking a Project Operations Manager for a major civil project in Knottingley. You will take overall charge of site delivery, working alongside the Project Director and Commercial lead, ensuring safety, quality and programme targets are met.

The role requires a decade of leadership on large schemes, strong civils and M&E knowledge, and a track record of shaping build sequences.

Qualifications

• A decade or more running major projects for a main contractor.
• Strong civils, structural and architectural knowledge with M&E interfaces.
• Engineering degree or time-served trade background.
• Leadership style with clear expectations and smart delegation.
• Experience on complex, heavily serviced builds a real advantage.
• SMSTS and CSCS Black (Manager) card.

Responsibilities

• Total accountability for site delivery: safety, quality, programme and performance targets.
• Pre-start planning with each subcontractor, so every package mobilises safe, resourced and ready.
• Site set‑up, logistics, access and welfare as the job moves through each phase.
• A visible, hands‑on health, safety and quality culture, led from the front in daily and weekly planning sessions.
• Competent, appointed people in place for high‑risk work: lifting operations, temporary works and permit‑controlled activities.
• Shaping the target programme and build sequence with the planning team.
• Getting it right first time, staying close to the commercial position and flagging scope change early.
• Strong, responsive relationships with the client and every supply chain partner.

Logical are working with an exciting client on an exciting project in Wakefield.

A senior site leadership opportunity on one of Yorkshire's biggest construction schemes. You'll take overall charge of everything happening on site, working shoulder to shoulder with the Project Director and Commercial lead. We need a leader who sets the tone, makes the supply chain deliver and owns the results.
